Bio: Robyn Elyse Sablove
first participated in theatre during her early childhood when she was involved
with CYT. Always having the passion for theatre in the back of her mind, she
rediscovered it during her Sophomore year at Grossmont High School when she
enrolled in Beginning Theatre. After being inspired by the talented
upperclassmen actors, she decided to audition for Advanced Theatre and was
selected to learn among the best actors at Grossmont. As a Junior, Robyn took on
one of the lead roles in "A Piece of My Heart" as Martha O'Neill. Then she was
the sound designer/sound board operator for "A Midsummer's Night Dream." During
the summer of 2007, Robyn participated in UCLA's Acting and Performance
Institute for six weeks. During her Senior year of High School, she played the
part of Judith, the “evil” stepsister, in a dark rendition of the classic
fairytale “Cinderella”, called “The Ash Girl.” She was President of Drama Club in High
school. In addition to Theatre/Drama Club she was involved in ASB, Class Office,
Interact Club, Student Council, and School Site Council. During the summer of
2008, Robyn took on the role of Mrs. Doris MacAfee in her first musical “Bye Bye
Birdie” with C. Hook Theater. Robyn is currently attending the University of
California, San Diego (UCSD) in La Jolla, California, where she is double
majoring in Theatre and Mathematics.
