Broadway Theatre Arts Academy Presents "Bye Bye Birdie"

Broadway Theatre Arts Academy will be presenting Bye Bye Birdie from September 3-11, 2010 in Escondido.   Bye Bye Birdie is part our “Plays in the Park” series performed at the Kit Carson Park Amphitheatre in Escondido.  The show includes teens ages 5-18 from Escondido, Valley Center, San Marcos, Rancho Bernardo, Carlsbad and surrounding communities.

About the Show

Bye Bye Birdie is one of the most captivating musical shows of our time. It is a satire done with the fondest affection, and tells the story of a rock and roll singer who is about to be inducted into the army. "An English Teacher", "What Did I Ever See in Him?", "Put on a Happy Face", "One Boy", "A Lot of Livin' to Do", "Kids", "Rosie" and "Spanish Rose" are musical theatre classics. This is the tops in imagination and good old fashion fun.

BTAA also offers opportunities to low income and at risk youth through scholarship and outreach programs.  Broadway Theatre Arts Academy was formed specifically to fill the need of providing arts, in the form of children’s theater, to all children, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status or ethnic background. Our programs indeed serve all socio-economic and ethnic groups. Our primary focus is to continue to provide quality programs for all youth, even those that would not normally be able to afford this type of program.
