Carlsbad Community Theatre Presents Shrek Jr.
September 2015 –
It's a "big, bright, beautiful world" for everyone's favorite ogre in Shrek: The Musical Jr., based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film. Carlsbad Community Theatre will be presenting this youth performance at the AVO Playhouse in Vista Oct. 23-25th.
In a faraway kingdom, the green ogre Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits, runaways who've been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wise-cracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he's handed a task - if he rescues feisty Princess Fiona from the dragon-guarded tower, his swamp will be returned to him. But, a fairytale wouldn't be complete without unexpected twists and turns along the way. Part romance and part twisted fairytale, Shrek Jr. is an irreverently fun show for the whole family.
Shrek Jr. is Carlsbad Community Theartre’s 32nd Season Fall Production. The cast includes over 40 of North County’s top youth and teen performers. The costumes, set design and actors will bring a top notch performance to our audience. You don’t want to miss it!
The creative team includes Myles Vencill (Director), Ala Tiatia (Choreographer), and Laura Case (Musical Director).
TICKET AND THEATRE INFORMATION: Shrek Jr. plays on Friday Oct. 23rd at 7PM, Saturday Oct. 24th at 2PM & 7PM, and Sunday Oct. 25th at 2PM. Tickets are reserved and assigned seating and are now on sale for $15 at www.carlsbadcommunitytheatre.com, or vistixonline.com
