Children’s
Theatre Presents “If You Give a Pig a Party” and Omimeo Mime Theatre’s
“Black Light Magic”
“If
You Give a Pig a Party”
Adapted
for the stage by Nancy Schaeffer • Music & Lyrics by B. Wolf
Based
on the book by Laura Numeroff; Illustrations by Felicia Bond
Feb. 8-24, 2008 · Wachovia Playhouse
Children’s
Theatre of Charlotte’s Resident Touring Company, the Tarradiddle Players,
brings Laura Numeroff’s “If You Give a Pig a Party” to life in the
Wachovia Playhouse from Feb. 8-24. Fans of the popular picture book will squeal
with delight as this adorable little pig revels in the excitement of putting
together a party. In response to audience demand, Children’s Theatre has
already added performances to the run of this production, and tickets are going
fast.
If
you give a pig a party, she’s going to want some balloons … and ice cream
… and a pillow fight … and then she’ll want to clean up … and what
better setting for another party than a nice, clean room? You get the picture.
In Numeroff’s delightful circular stories one thing leads to another until
somehow you wind up back at the beginning. But what this little piggy learns
amidst all the flurry and excitement of putting together a party is this: you
can’t have a party without friends, and having friends is the perfect reason
to have a party!
