Pacific Beach-  Theater-goers will soon be sighting singing mermaids, dancing lobsters and other fantastic sea creatures as Christian Youth Theater (CYT) students of San Diego County will present The Little Mermaid, May 18 through 26^th at the Pacific Beach Middle School auditorium.  The tale of the young mermaid longing to be human began with Hans Christian Anderson, Denmark’s most famous author, in the 19^th century.  The Little Mermaid, her friend and cohort, ChaCha, the evil octopus Octavia and her shark henchmen, and a variety of sea creatures will find a place in your hearts as they take you “under the sea.”  The cast includes local actors JULIA BENEDETTI of San Diego (Ariel), TIM MANNS of El Cajon (Prince Eric), ALLI FAUCHER of Santee (Cha Cha), DANA VINCENT of La Mesa (Octavia), and DAVID SENSENBAUGH of San Diego (Neptune). 

Performance dates for The Little Mermaid are May 18, 25 & 26 at 7:00 p.m. and May 19, 20, & 26 at 2:00 p.m. All performances will be held at the Pacific Beach Middle School, 4676 Ingrahm St, San Diego, CA 92109.  All seats are reserved and ticket prices at the door are $11 for ages 3-19 and $13 for adults.  Tickets purchased online or through the CYT Box Office are $9 for ages 3-19 and $11 for adults, and there are special discounts available for groups of ten or more.   The bargain performances are May 18 at 10:30 am & 22 at 9:30 & 11:00 a.m.., with all seats on sale for $9.  For tickets phone 619-588-0206 or 800-696-1929.
