San
Diego (East County)- CCT Musical Theater is proud to present the world
premiere of Alice, written by local composer Jon Lorenz and
choreographed by Invisible Children’s Jason Russell, running July 31st
through August 10th at the East County Performing Arts Center, 210
East Main Street, El Cajon, 92020.
Alice
is a modern-day musical based on Lewis Carroll’s classic story of Alice
in Wonderland. This live art
performance is filled with exuberant dances, infectious tunes, and startling
imagery. Alice
is a rollercoaster journey of discovery like you’ve never seen on stage
before! CCT is the first to produce this enthralling and explosive new musical
that can only be seen at ECPAC this summer.
Alice
was reviewed by Steven Schwartz, internationally- acclaimed composer of Wicked
and Prince of Egypt, at Disney’s ASCAP Musical Theater Workshop in
Winter of 2005 and boasts a star-studded cast including long time actor Ryan
Hansen, who played Dick Casablancas on the hit TV show, Veronica Mars, as well as Brad Davis and Sean O’Donnell from the
award winning band Reeve Oliver, as well as Dallas McLaughlin, FM 94.9 DJ,
playwright, and founder of the local sketch comedy troupe The Geese.
Performances dates for ALICE are
July 31, August 1, 2, 3, 7, 8 & 9 at 7:30 p.m. and August 3, & 10 at
2:00 p.m. at the East County Performing Arts Center, 210 E. Main St., El
Cajon. All seats are reserved and ticket prices range from $17 to $33, with
special discounts available for seniors & groups of fifteen or more.
