WHAT:            “Chapters: A Primer on Drug Awareness” An original drama for youth written by Ross Collins with contributions by Christina Keosky Smith, Carli Van Valkenberg, and Maddie Cisiewski. Recommended age 11 and up.

Fountain Hills Youth Theater is proud to announce the opening of their final show of the 2011-

2012 season, “Chapters: A Primer on Drug Awareness”. 

“Chapters: A Primer on Drug Awareness” is an original drama written and directed by Ross Collins, Artistic Director of Fountain Hills Youth Theater, produced by Anne Kelleher, incorporating the works of Christina Keosky-Smith, Carli Van Valkenberg and Maddie Cisiewski. Cast members are Logan Barrett, Nick Disney, Riley Gant, Jensen Grief, Erin Griffith, Natalie Kilker, Andrey Lull, Maddie McCasland, Kathryn Pastuszak, Amy Powers, Ryan Smith, Molly Stellino, Katie Van Deinse and Carli Van Valkenberg.

“Chapters: A Primer on Drug Awareness” follows several young people as they meet after school to prepare their presentations for the State’s annual Drug Awareness Assembly and two young girls whose friendship is put to the test. Participants in this event have helped workshop the production and also helped to stage their own scenes! This production is the Fountain Hills Youth Theater “YABOY” (Young Actors Benefiting Other Youth) production for this season and is being partially underwritten by a generous grant from Fountain Hills Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition and the Town of Fountain Hills.

“Chapters: A Primer on Drug Awareness” will play Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:00pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm from March 16 – April 1, 2012. There will be no performance held on March 18^th. Ticket prices are: $15.00 for adult and $12.00 for youth 17 and under. Recommended age 11 and up.
