From the original story by Lewis Carroll, Alice In Wonderland, the play has been adapted for the Growing Stage Theatre by Stephen L. Fredericks and Perry Arthur Kroeger; music by Peter Schultz and Lyrics by Perry Arthur Kroeger.
At one moment, young Alice is sitting quietly along a river bank doing her studies, when suddenly a white rabbit dressed in a waistcoat and carrying a pocket watch dashes by. When Alice decides to follow him down a rather large hole, her life quickly becomes more "curiouser" and
"curiouser". Along her way she meets the Cheshire Cat who creates more questions than answers; Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum who fight over the most
non-sensical things; the March Hare, the Mad Hatter and the Dormouse as they sit having tea; only to end up in the court of the Queen of Hearts as she rules over her kingdom during a game of croquet.
The Growing Stage is the only professional member theatre of the Actor's Equity Association in New Jersey that is solely dedicated to young people and in 2000 was named the "Outstanding Arts Organization of Morris County" by The Arts Council of the Morris Area.
