HARTFORD CHILDREN'S THEATRE BroadwayWorld.com announced the first annual Connecticut Theatre Awards in October 2011 and invited its readers to nominate the best musicals and straight plays that graced the stages of both professional and community theatres throughout Connecticut in a variety of categories. Voting ran through December 31, 2011 and winners were announced on Friday, January 6, 2012. The first annual awards broke traffic records on the national theatre website.
