Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor
Dreamcoat
The
award-winning J*Company youth theatre continues its 2004 – 2005 season with
the hit musical Joseph and the
Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, on Saturday,
March 5, 7:00 p.m. in the David and Dorothea Garfield Theatre, Potiker
Family Arts and Culture Complex at the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center,
JACOBS FAMILY CAMPUS.
J*Company founding Artistic Director Becky
Cherlin toured with the Broadway National Tour of Joseph
and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in 1996 – 1997. Ms. Cherlin opened the David and Dorothea Garfield Theatre
with Joseph in 2005, and will once
again stage this popular musical to celebrate the 5th Anniversary of
the David and Dorothea Garfield Theatre.
“This production of JOSEPH matches that of the
Broadway National Tour,” says Artistic Director Becky Cherlin.
“It is bursting with energy and color from the dynamic ‘dreamcoat’
choir of 36 rainbow costumed kids to the 12-minute ‘techno-megamix’ in the
finale.”
