Last spring, due to the pandemic, we launched our first video showcase for all areas and all ages (college and younger). With more than 300 videos involved in the 2019-20 Showcase and the opportunity to share glimpses of the amazing talents across the country, it became clear we needed to find a way to continue with the tradition. Therefore submissions for the 2021 National Youth Arts & University Arts Showcase was announced! 

We will be accepting submissions until May 31 as we get them all posted to the website and the scorecards created. To participate, please submit the form below and send us a video of you singing any song or performing any monologue you choose (everyone can make one free submission to our showcase, and NYA members can submit two videos). To provide us with the videos, you may either include a link in the form below or email the video to us. You can also email a headshot and brief program bio for the website (and a resume if you'd like us to include it in a portfolio that we'll put together for the agents we're in contact with). Videos should have been filmed over the past year. There's a possibility that, when it's considered safe to resume large group settings, we'll be able to have some of the honorees perform in a live showcase. The highest-ranked adjudicated NYA & University Arts showcases will be eligible for both regional and national Showcase Honors. Certificates for the Showcase Honors will be included on the website after the final results are released.

Age Group: Generally your age group will be the last year of school you had started when the video was made. For example, if filmed the summer after 11th grade but before you started 12th grade, your age group would be 11th grade. The College Division is for anyone age 18-22 who is no longer in high school, or any current college student age 26 and younger. If you're unsure about your age group, please feel free to contact me.

Awards/Nominations: The Showcase Honors are separate from our NYA Awards ceremonies. If you'd also like to submit an individual performance (one that isn't already included as part of a show by an NYA Member school or theater group) to be considered for our NYA or University Arts Awards for our Soloist or New Song categories, members can check the "NYA Awards/Nominations" checkbox below (if needed, our Membership Form is located at http://www.nationalyouththeatre.com/membership.asp).
