Last spring, when the pandemic hit, we held our first online general showcase for all areas and all ages (college and
younger), and we were so excited to receive hundreds of showcases to post from around the
country! So much talent, and so inspiring to see you all making art during the
times when we need it the most. Due to the response, we are pleased to keep it
going with this year's showcase.
The submissions deadline just passed, although we are continuing to accept
showcases as we get all the showcases posted and prepare the scorecards for the
judges -- probably through May 15. There's a possibility
that eventually, after it's considered safe to resume large group settings, we'll
be able to have some of the honorees perform in a live showcase. The highest-ranked adjudicated NYA
& University Arts showcases
will also be eligible for both regional and national honors. Individual members
can also have their showcases considered for our soloist awards. Later in May we
will begin the adjudication process that will continue into June, revealing our
showcase honors followed by each age
group's top national honors and countdown to the National Champions!
