This year more than 70 youth productions will be included in at least 11 different states. Those eligible for the awards include anyone involved with shows reviewed or judged by National Youth Theatre. The awards are considered for all actors in youth productions age 20 and younger, adults who participated in the youth theatre productions backstage, and any minor (under age 18) who performed in a reviewed adult production. An award "year" begins and ends in late May, with the winners announced on this website. This year we expect to announce the award winners on May 22.

On Monday, June 11, 2007 the Second Annual National Youth Theatre Awards will be presented at the Garfield Theatre in the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center located in San Diego's beautiful La Jolla area. Home of J*Company for the past several years, they are once again generously donating the use of their state-of-the-art, 495-seat theatre space, as well as their professional assistance, for this year's festivities.
