About the show:
Simply put, [title of show] is about two guys writing a musical. But it's also more than that. It's about the challenge of making art, compromising artistic vision, maintaining friendships, and holding onto dreams. Written with intelligence, humor, and heart, [title of show] portrays four slightly neurotic theater people on a journey from idea to inspiration as they try to reach the pinnacle of theater: BROADWAY. For mature audiences.

About Rising Star Theatricals:
"Teaching students, touching audiences, transforming lives" is the mission of the newest and most unique theater company in San Diego County. Founded in 2011 by acclaimed director, teacher, and professional actress Katie Wilson, Rising Star Theatricals is unlike any theater company in that the actors are all students, age 14-24, performing in professional calibre shows. Most are college age, who have community theater and traditional youth theater experience, but wish the opportunity to continue on in theatrical training and performance at the collegiate/professional level.... even if they are not majoring in it in college. Katie Wilson brings 17 years of experience to Rising Star. A member of Actors Equity Association, she holds a B.A. in music from the University of San Diego, and has performed in numerous productions in noted venues such as Starlight Musical Theatre, The Welk Resort Theatre, Moonlight State Productions, Civic Light Opera of Yorba Linda, and Civic Light Opera of South Bay Cities. She has written two original musicals. Her musical, A Little Princess, is performed extensively by youth theater companies around the country. She is the Director of the award-winning Cathedral Catholic High School Drama Program.
