Riverside Youth Theatre announces Theatrical Performances of Bye Bye Birdie At Riverside’s Newest Venue: The Box
Riverside Youth Theatre is thrilled to announce summer theatre performance at Riverside’s newest performance venue: The Box at the Fox Entertainment Plaza, at 3635 Market Street in Riverside!
When the side-burned, hip-shaking Elvis Presley roared out of Tennessee to turn the music world upside down, it was the start of an exciting era. Kids were enchanted. Parents were outraged. Elvis’ first national appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show was a major event. Presley’s tremendous impact was a classic example of generation-gap confrontation. Bye Bye Birdie is an affectionate satire of the Elvis Presley phenomenon.
Bye Bye Birdie closes Riverside Youth Theatre’s 13th season and features Bobby Coovert as Albert Peterson, Hannah Wolgemuth as Rose Alvarez, Diego Mata as Conrad Birdie, Courtney Barnes as Kim MacAfee, JT Lowry as Hugo Peabody, several adult performers and RYT alumni. The Production Team includes Debbie Wolgemuth (Director), Kaitlyn Herrick (Assistant Student Director), Sarah Horn (Music Director), plus Radames & Stacey Montes (Choreographers).
Performances at The Box at the Fox Entertainment Plaza are on:
July 12,13,19,20 @ 7:30 pm July 14,21 @ 3:00 pm
Tickets are now on sale at our website at www.RiversideYouthTheatre.org. Tickets are discounted to $12 when purchased by July 10. After July 11 all tickets are $15 online or at the door. Seating is open and parking is available in the parking structure next to The Box or on the streets around the Fox Entertainment Plaza.
