You will be “feline” fine at San Diego Junior Theatre’s premiere of Cats

San Diego- Based on T.S. Eliot’s whimsical set of poems, “Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats”, this beloved Tony® Award winning Andrew Lloyd Webber musical tells the stories of the Jellicle tribe of cats. Cats, produced around the world and translated into more than 20 languages, bursts with song and dance, and is a delight for the whole family.

Directed by Steve Anthony, Cats opens at the Casa del Prado Theatre in Balboa Park on Friday, October 24 and runs through November 9, 2008. Performances are at 7:00 pm on Fridays, and at 2:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.  There will be an ASL performance on Saturday, November 8 and no performance on Halloween.  For ticket information call San Diego Junior Theatre’s box office at 619.239.8355 or purchase tickets online at Juniortheatre.com.

Junior Theatre has embarked on their 61st season with ten productions at their sites in Balboa Park and La Jolla. Their primary mission continues to be to provide all youth ages 4-18 the opportunity to experience the theatre arts through innovative classes, camps and outreach programs.
