Wish upon a star at San Diego Junior Theatre’s
premiere of Disney’s My Son Pinocchio: Geppetto’s Musical Tale

Theatre presents Disney’s My Son
Pinocchio: Geppetto’s Musical Tale as its kick-off to Summer in Balboa
Park. This magical production
explores the relationship between the aging toy maker and his puppet Pinocchio
as the latter learns to be a real boy and the former finds out what it’s like
to be a true father. With music by
Grammy Award winner Stephen Schwartz, audiences will enjoy a score of new songs
in addition to the animated film classics “When You Wish Upon a Star” and
“I’ve Got No Strings.” Disney’s My
Son Pinocchio: Geppetto’s Musical Tale is directed by San Diego Junior Theatre alumna, Teri Ang. The show opens at the Casa del
Prado Theatre in Balboa Park on Friday, July 2, and runs through Sunday, July
18. Performances are at 7 p.m. on
Fridays, and at 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. There will be an ASL-interpreted
performance on Saturday, July 17. Tickets

production is recommended for all ages. San
Diego Junior Theatre has embarked on its 62nd season with nine productions at
their sites in Balboa Park and La Jolla. A private, non-profit organization,
