for all ages and all levels in musical theater, acting and more

York, NY, January 5, 2007—TADA!, New
York City’s leading youth theater for 23 years, announces its Spring 2007
semester of classes for kids of all ages, all experience levels and at several
convenient times.
Each
year, TADA! serves over 1,000 children with classes in drama and musical
theater.
TADA!
offers classes focused on introducing kids to theater and classes that develop
acting or musical theater skills. In addition, TADA! offers more
performance-based classes for Grades 3-6 and 5-9. Introductory and Skills
Building Classes include: for Pre-K youngsters, Creative Dramatics; for
Kindergarteners, Musical Play; for Grades 1-2: Musical Theater; for Grades 3-6:
Musical Theater and Acting; and for Teens: Acting and Musical Theater Intensive.
For more performance-oriented kids, TADA! offers a Musical Theater
Performance Workshop for Grades 3-6 and Grades 5-9.
Classes
start at the beginning of February and continue for 11 weeks, once per week
through mid-May. Class locations: TADA! (15

TADA!
provides kids with exciting and fulfilling theatrical experiences: both on stage
and off. Classes engage students in
dramatically fun activities including musical numbers from Broadway and TADA!
original shows, dance and creative movement, and improvisational games and
acting exercises. In addition to providing a venue for creative and artistic
expression, TADA! encourages kids to develop focus, discipline, teamwork and
self-esteem in a positive, nurturing environment.
All TADA! teaching artists are professional artists, who are equally
committed to youth and theater. To
ensure the quality of the musical and movement components, all musical classes
are taught by two teaching artists (a music director and a
choreographer/director).

s Mission
Co-founded
in 1984 by Janine Nina Trevens and Linda Reiff, TADA! is a unique, non-profit,
501 (c)3 youth theater that produces original musicals performed by New York
City kids ages 8-18 for family audiences three times a year; a year-round
Resident Youth Ensemble composed of 40-50 NYC kids ages 8-18; renowned education
programs in more than 40 public schools; theater classes taught by professional
teaching artists, and an annual one-act playwriting contest and staged reading
series geared towards teen actors and audiences. TADA!
alumni include Miszuo Peck (Night
at the Museum with Robin Williams and Ben Stiller) and Kerry Washington
(guest host in January 2007 on ABC’s The
View and award-winner for her role in Ray.
TADA! provides young
people of different backgrounds the opportunity to explore and perform theatre
together in an educational, supportive, and professional environment.
