About the new play: When Santa’s temper tantrum results in the cancellation of every single holiday, an overlooked groundhog sheds light on the subject. Note: This is not a Christmas play, this is an everything play!

“While every show has its own charm and presence, Shadow of a Pout is memorable and modern with its message: just be a good person for the sake of being a good person,” says Sageg.  “I am blown away by the talent of the cast, and their ability to be funny, wise, and eloquent beyond their years.”

Victoria Sayeg has written and directed several productions for Young Artists Ensemble, after studying theatre at South Coast Repertory and Gold Coast Theatre Conservatory.  She has had three plays published by Dramatic Publishing, a publishing house for plays and musicals since 1885.

Hillcrest Players gives young people an opportunity to flex their artistic muscles in a less demanding arena than a full-length production.   The one-act plays provide young performers with a positive experience to increase self-esteem, self-awareness and self-discipline.
